Honestly, not a whole lot happened this week. I’ve been spending all my time on the trailer, and I’m really happy with now that’s working out. The other big thing that happened this week was we showed off Guilded to some Rockstar devs! We discussed the gameplay, art style, and some improvements to the game. Overall, they seemed to really like it, and they mentioned that it didn’t seem like a student game at all (expect for some UI icons)!

Overall very happy with how the game is turning out, and the team’s determination to keep working on it. There aren’t a whole lot of fun tasks left, and most of the time we’re either fixing bugs or testing and finding bugs. It’s really hard for the artists in particular, since there isn’t a lot left to do on the game art-wise any more. Same for the systems designers. I’m in a lucky place since I get to plug hours into the trailer, but with 12 other people, it’s getting hard to keep everyone motivated when there is almost nothing left to do. We all need a break, and I don’t think I’m the only one counting down the days until we stop working on Guilded.
