So, unfortunately, my snowball making tool didn’t pan out. I wanted to be able to add art prefabs and custom scripts by using enumerators, but since a Unity Window isn’t an object, I couldn’t get the required files unless they were in the Resources folder, which would mean reworking the entire work pipeline. A solution to this would be discarding the window and putting the tool on an object, but then my tool wouldn’t be any better than just duplicating the object. It was a good experience to work on, but now I’ve moved on to other projects. I’m going to be remaking the level now, since that hasn’t changed since the start of production.
We also went to the Champlain Game Fest! It was an amazing experience, and I was able to really test our game in a non-game studio setting. It was a really rewarding experience to see a ton of people come by and play the game, especially since they seemed to like it so much! We had a few kids, aged around 8-14, who came back to play multiple times, and thanks to them, we managed to win Audience Choice Award for Best Digital Game! That was a crazy award to receive, especially since there were games from professional studios in the running as well!
