Hotshot is a third person, survival wave shooter. The player plays as a lamp that must defeat and melt all of the toys in the room. However, the toys won’t take it laying down. The player must keep their own light safe while fighting the toys in the room. If not, the player’s light bulb will crack, and they must gather another one before they can attack again. While our current prototype is single player, we want to make this a multiplayer experience in the future.
These are images of our game prototype right now. Implemented, we have the lamp as a player character, toyboxes where the enemy toys spawn, and ducks that are constantly moving towards the player. The player has three lives, represented by the light bulbs in the top left, and must survive for a minute. Their melting ray is always on, and it’s represented by a ray.
Here are some of the documents I made for the game. We have the rules and mechanics document, and after that some screen mockups and controller layouts Claire made.
