This is my final project for my Principles of Game Design course. I call it Grass Watering Simulator 2018, as a joke on the absurdity of simulator game names. In this game, the player takes on the role of a homeowner during the height of the California drought. The environmentally inconsiderate Homeowners Association is making you water your lawn, and in this heat, it’s more than a challenge.
The game revolves around the patches of grass on your lawn. Each patch has 5 different states; Perfect, Good, Fine, Poor, and Dead. It’s you job as the homeowner to keep your grass from dying, but be careful of over watering!
There is still a lot I’m going to do for this project. I’m going to add a full tutorial, music, and some more levels with different lawn layouts. If I have time, I’ll even add random events like rain or fire storms!
